This is the community living inside One. It is a space to be honest, to be held, and to witness other people doing the same work you are doing. It was built by a therapist, for people who are tired of pretending they have it all together. You do not have to perform here. You just have to show up as a real person and let other real people show up too.
These guidelines keep the room safe enough for that kind of honesty. Read them once. They are short on purpose.
What this space is
The Rooted Group is a place to check in, share what you are carrying, cheer each other on, and remember you are not doing life alone. It is culturally grounded and it centers the people who usually hold everyone else. Think of it as the group chat that actually loves you back, with a therapist in the room keeping it safe.
It is not a therapy replacement, a debate stage, a marketplace, or a place to be anybody's project. It is a garden. We tend it together.
How we show up
These are the things that keep this room worth being in.
1. Lead with care. You can be honest and still be kind. Both fit in the same sentence.
2. Speak from your own experience. Share your story, not a diagnosis of somebody else's.
3. Let people have their season. Someone resting is not someone failing. Meet people where they are, not where you think they should be.
4. Celebrate out loud. If someone posts a win, big or small, say something. This community runs on being seen.
5. Protect the vulnerability in the room. When someone opens up, that is a gift. Handle it gently.
6. Keep what is shared here inside here. What gets said in The Rooted Group stays in The Rooted Group. Do not screenshot, repost, or carry someone's private words outside this space.
What does not belong here
Some things break the safety of this room, and we do not negotiate on them.
1. No harassment, bullying, or pile-ons. Disagreement is fine. Targeting a person is not.
2. No racism, no bigotry, no hate. That includes the coded kind. We name it plainly and it comes down.
3. No sexual harassment, no unwanted advances, no using this space to hit on people. This is a wellness community, not a hookup line.
4. No selling, spamming, recruiting, or dropping links to your business or your funnel. If you are not sure whether something counts as promotion, it probably does.
5. No handing out clinical, medical, or legal advice as if it is fact. You can share what worked for you. You cannot diagnose, prescribe, or tell someone to stop their medication.
6. No graphic detail around self-harm, substance use, or trauma that could hurt someone else reading it. You can say you are struggling. Please do. Just leave out the parts that could land on someone the wrong way. More on this below.
7. No sharing anyone's private information, yours or somebody else's, including full names, locations, or contact details.
When someone is in crisis
If you are in a hard place, you are still welcome here. You do not have to hide it and you will not be removed for being honest about your pain.
When a post signals crisis, One surfaces support resources every single time, including 988, the Crisis Text Line, and 911 for emergencies. Those resources are always free and always available. They are never behind a paywall, ever. Tasha may also gently step in and point you toward that support.
If you see someone else in crisis, the kindest thing you can do is not try to fix it yourself. Respond with warmth, and use the report or support option so the right resources reach them. You are not failing them by getting help involved. You are loving them well.
One and The Rooted Group cannot keep anyone safe in an emergency. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 911 or your local emergency number.
Privacy and trust
This community only works because people trust it. So we hold a few lines firmly.
1. What is shared here is not yours to carry elsewhere. No screenshots, no reposting, no gossip.
2. Protect your own privacy too. You control how much you reveal. You never owe anyone your full story.
3. Assume good faith, but honor your own boundaries. You can step back, mute a thread, or take a season away any time you need to. The garden will still be here.
How moderation works
This space is tended, not policed. But it is tended firmly, because a garden without weeding stops being safe for anything to grow.
Most things get a warm first word. If you cross a line without meaning harm, you will usually hear about it kindly and get a chance to adjust.
Some things skip the warning. Racism, hate, harassment, sexual advances, threats, and sharing private information are not warned about first. They are removed, and the account may be removed with them.
Repeat behavior escalates. A pattern is different from a slip. What gets a gentle word the first time gets firmer with repetition, and can end in removal from The Rooted Group or from One entirely.
Decisions are made to protect the room, not to punish the person. But protecting the room always comes first.
How to report
If something feels off, wrong, or unsafe, use the report option on the post or reach out through Support in the app. You do not need to explain yourself perfectly or be certain. If it landed wrong for you, that is enough reason to flag it.
Reporting is confidential. Looking out for the room is not snitching. It is how we keep this a place people can be honest in.
One last thing
You were not built to hold everything by yourself, and you do not have to prove anything to belong here. Come as you are, protect the people next to you the way you would want to be protected, and let this be a place that pours back into you.
We are glad you are here.
